The center provides programs for local schools and offers outdoor recreation and environmental education opportunities for St. Clair County residents. Mature hardwood forest, wetlands, prairie and the Pine River are some of the many habitats that can be explored through a system of trails that extend over two miles on the 80-acre nature preserve. Hiking, bird watching, and cross-country skiing are welcome on the center's trails,which are open daily from dawn to dusk. A Trail Map is available at the facility. Call for more information on upcoming public programs.
